Introducing our mascot, the Recovery Rooster! If you've had your fill of soap but still want to support Getting Clean, consider adopting a rooster.
Each Recovery Rooster is unique and lovingly hand crafted and donated to us by local knitting group: Hookers & Clickers.
Every purchase helps Getting Clean continue our work in the community and empower volunteers in their recovery from addiction. So you know your purchase will be making a positive impact.
These Roosters are crafted from soft cotton yarn, filled with polyester fibres, and adorned with wire 'glasses' for our white Roosters.
This cute little fellow reminds me to react rather than respond :)
I love my Recovery Rooster! I am yet to give Rooster a name, but I've had a comment on Rooster by many visitors to my home since purchase. It's a great opportunity to tell people about Getting Clean and the wonderful work you all do.
Mine sits proudly by my television, and helps me to remember the things that are important to me today in my new life, even when I'm being a couch potato. Hanging out and zoning out, it's easy to forget how important it is to live a principled life even when relaxing (drink water - stretch your legs!) but my Rooster is a great visual reminder that I want to put a little bit of work in today and tomorrow I will be grateful.
I am planning to purchase a few more of these over the holiday period to gift to my Sponsorship family because it's been such a wonderful addition to my living room.
I bought this as a gift for a friend who was questioning their strength in recovery. Having heard the story of why I bought this for her, she has seen the impact of her sobriety on others.
